Deadlines for outdoor visitation CMP project

Last winter the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) announced an initiative to help facilitate in-person outdoor visits for nursing facility residents, their families, and friends. This initiative uses Ohio’s Civil Money Penalty (CMP) funds to help finance up to $3,000 worth of tents, clear dividers, tables, chairs, and other items to create accessible and safe outdoor spaces for in-person visitation per nursing facility.

To date, ODM has received and approved 260 applications. CMP funds are still available to nursing facilities that haven’t taken advantage of the program. Applications will be accepted through May 31, 2022. To apply, simply fill out the online form available by clicking here.

If your facility is approved (or has already received approval), purchases must be made and receipts submitted to ODM on or before June 30, 2022. Your approval letter provides instructions for submitting receipts once the purchase is made.
